ROCKTON WORLD'S FAIR GIANT PUMPKIN CHAMPIONSHIP Chairperson - Fred Cooper 519-647-2714 giant pumpkin.doc SECTION 87, CLASS 1 Prizes - $300; $200; $150; $125; $100; $90; $80; $70; $50; $50 and additional prizes of $25 for all others who enter a pumpkin weighing at least 80 pounds Special: Grand Champion Pumpkin Trophy Donated by Ed Heather Awards. Judging will take place on Saturday, October  10th, 2009, in front of the Farm and Home Building at 10:30 A.M. Entries will be received up to judging time. However, contestants are requested to have their Entry Forms into the fair General Manager by October 5th if at all possible. A  $10.00 R.A.S. Exhibitor fee is required, if not retained from the previous year. Only one pumpkin entry per Exhibitor. Please deliver the pumpkins after 9:30 a.m. to the Farm and Home Building. A fork lift will be available with help for unloading. Minimum weight for entry is 80 lbs. Only entries being 75 to 80% yellow/orange/cream in colour will be accepted. Those in a grey green colour scheme will be disqualified as being a squash. Any pumpkin with a hole, is severely leaking, or on the verge of collapse will be disqualified. The top six entries will be on display at the fair throughout the weekend. if you wish to have your pumpkin back, they will be available for pick up between 5 and 7 p.m. on October 12th.
