KARAOKE PRELIMINARY CONTESTS
Friday, October 9, 2009 & Saturday, October 10, 2009
Registration 6:00 p.m. each evening. Event Starts 7:00 p.m.
Winners will compete in the final on Monday, October 12, 2009
The preliminary Karaoke competitions will take place between 6p.m. and 8p.m. on Friday October 9 and Saturday, October 10, 2009 in the D.A. Campbell Entertainment Centre. A panel of judges will select the top ten solo performances who will then be eligible to compete on Thanksgiving Monday for the Karaoke Championship. All regular rules apply. 8th ANNUAL CHAMPIONSHIP KARAOKE FINAL

The top ten selected from the Friday and Saturday night Karaoke contests will compete in a Grand Championship Karaoke Contest on the afternoon of Mon. October 12th, 2009. Prizes: $60; $50; $40; $30; $20; $10; $10; $10; $10;
Rules for Talent & Karaoke Contests:
a. One song only per act up to 5 minutes in length.
b. Contestants are encouraged to pre-register by calling the Rockton Fair Office, 519-647-2502, any time prior to the opening of the Fair on Thursday October 8, 2009. A $10.00 pre-registration fee will be charged and will be refunded to the entrants who compete.
c. Registration for the Amateur Talent Contest will also be available at the Rockton Fair D.A. Campbell Entertainment Centre from 11:00am on October, 12, 2009.
d. Each Amateur Talent Class is strictly limited to 10 contestants on a first-come, first-served basis.
e. Contestants must confirm registration between 11:00 a.m. and 12 noon on October 12, 2009.
f. Contestants may compete “up” one age category, if they choose to do so.
g. Set-up time is limited to 2 minutes.
h. Personal C.D.’s will be allowed but they must not contain the main vocal track.
