Meet our 2026 Rockton World’s Fair Ambassador!

For as long as I can remember, the Rockton World’s Fair has been a part of my life. Like many people in our community, I grew up going to the fair every year, walking the midway, watching the livestock shows, enjoying the food, and running into friends and neighbours you might not see the rest of the year. It’s always been something I look forward to.
What makes the fair so special isn’t just the rides or the events, but the people behind it. The Rockton Fair is built on a strong agricultural tradition and the hard work of volunteers, exhibitors, and community members who make it all possible. It’s a place where young people can proudly show the projects they’ve worked on all year, and where families can come together to celebrate the community we’re lucky to be a part of.
Having grown up attending the fair, I’ve always appreciated and enjoyed being part of it. Representing the Rockton World’s Fair will be a true honour, and I’d be proud to help share the traditions and community spirit that make this fair so special.
I hope to see everyone out this year for another great weekend of agriculture, community, and good country fun.
Meet our 2026 Rockton World’s Fair Silver Ambassador!
Terri Mand
For Terri, the Rockton World’s Fair isn’t just an annual event—it’s a lifelong tradition woven into her family’s history for generations. With deep roots in the fair and an unwavering passion for preserving its traditions, she is honoured to become the very first Rockton World’s Fair Silver Ambassador.
Terri wears many hats within the fair community. She is a dedicated Homecraft exhibitor, a member of the Rockton Agricultural Society Board of Directors, a Certified Homecraft Judge and Instructor, and serves on the OAAS Judging Committee. Over the years, she has contributed in countless ways, including serving as Homecraft Chair, volunteering on numerous Homecraft committees, and spending more than 40 years as an Associate Director helping shape the success of the Rockton World’s Fair.
Following a successful 40-year career in sales and marketing, Terri embraced retirement with the same energy and enthusiasm she brought to her professional life. Today, she devotes her time to family, her many hobbies, mentoring exhibitors and judges, and supporting fairs throughout the District 6 community.
Terri’s knowledge, dedication, and infectious enthusiasm make her an outstanding ambassador for the Rockton World’s Fair. She is proud to represent the fair she has loved her entire life and is excited to make history as the first person to wear the Silver Ambassador sash, celebrating the traditions, volunteers, and community spirit that make Rockton so special.

Growing up, the Rockton Fair was never just an annual weekend event—it was a core part of my life and family tradition. From the time I was old enough to walk, I was right by my grandfather’s side, learning the ins and outs of the fairgrounds and experiencing firsthand what makes this community so special. That lifelong involvement taught me the value of hard work, volunteerism, and the tight-knit spirit that draws families back year after year. Participating in the Rockton Fair over the years has shaped who I am, fueling a deep passion for preserving our local traditions while continuing to make the fair an inviting, exciting space for everyone.
Stepping into the role of Junior Ambassador is an incredible opportunity to give back to the fair that has given me so much. Through my experiences in leadership and community involvement, I’ve developed the confidence to connect with people of all ages, share the story of the Rockton Fair, and highlight the importance of youth involvement and agriculture. As Junior Ambassador, I am excited to represent our fair with pride, welcome visitors from near and far, and inspire the next generation to carry on this tradition.
