Creating Opportunities for Youth in our Community
Our Junior Department is packed with unique volunteer opportunities that cater to youth ages 12-21 and all abilities. Do you need volunteer hours? From the Rockton World’s Fair to the Rodeo, Dinner Theatre, and other one-of-a-kind events, there’s always something exciting going on around here!
The Rockton World’s Fair offers youth many new experiences and opportunities to assist with before fair planning and throughout the fair weekend, which include:
- Assisting with a variety of livestock
- Help in the Ag Alive Tent
- Ticket Scanning
- Accepting Junior Entries and Assisting Junior Department Judges
- Assisting with Fair shows and Events (Pet Show, Tractor Pull, other contests)
- Grounds Maintenance
The Rockton Dinner Theatre relies on volunteers to help run a smooth night of entertainment. A Junior volunteers experience can include:
- Sound and lighting crew
- Stage design and setup
- Meal preparation and kitchen work
- Serving guests
- Stage performers (when available)
With so many opportunities to learn new skills and build community relationships; we encourage all local youth to reach out and become a Junior Department volunteer today!
